下面的这几个句子都用到了“for what it's worth”，第一眼真让人一头雾水：

我从网上查了一下，大概这个解释比较好：“for what it’s worth = take what I have to say and do what you like with it”。用中文说，可能有点“不管有用没用吧”或“不管有没有价值吧”的意思。这样再理解上面三个句子可能就会容易很多。
一直为自己的英语发愁，但一直都不想学习。今天终于战胜自己一回，在speak2me.cn上练了一下听力。虽然时间不算长，但总算开张了，只是不知能坚持多久：）
练听力最大的障碍莫过于“走神”，我总是开听不久就会走神，天马行空的乱想，会忘了自己正在听英语，结果一大段话一句也没听进去。这问题好象比较难解决，俺也不知如何克服。先学个词组吧，“走神”怎么翻译呢？我也不知道。从网上看了一下“lose my concentration”貌似挺合意。“absent-minded”也还不错，两个都记着总不会错。

由于英语不好，金山词霸就成了必备工具。没换电脑之前，词霸每次开机会自动启动并最小化到系统托盘，查词结束后点击“关闭”按钮又会最小化到系统托盘而不是直接退出软件，这已成了操作习惯。
但是，自从换了新的电脑，装了新的词霸，每次点击“关闭”按钮都会直接退出软件，真的很不爽。GOOGLE了一下，发现原来处理这种问题是极其简单的：
右键点击词霸快捷方式，选择“属性”打开属性面板，然后选择“快捷方式”选项卡，将“目标”一栏中所选链接的后面加上“ -s”即可，注意，“-”前要有一个半角的空格，比如"C:\Program Files\PowerWord 2007\xdict.exe" -s –nosplash
注：-s ：点击词霸界面的关闭窗口按钮后，不是退出而是最小化；
-nosplash：启动词霸时不显示 Splash 屏幕（即取消启动画面）。
